Mr. Thrifty Principle #4: Give an experience rather than a tangible gift

If you STILL don’t know what to give, an up and coming wedding gift idea is to give an experience rather than a physical gift. During the first year of marriage, the new couple will want to spend a lot of time together. What better way to do that than at their favorite restaurant or movie theater. Gift cards to these places can allow the couple to spend time at these places when budgets get tight.

One of Mr. Thrifty’s favorite wedding gifts a complete “date night.”  It including a gift certificate to the Thrifty’s favorite restaurant, following by movie passes and then a gift card to an ice cream place.  Free date, pre-planned!  Mr. Thrifty loved it!  Another fun was was a dinner at a nice fondue restaurant for four people.  That way the Thrifty's got to have a nice meal with the couple that had given them the wedding gift!
